恭喜8位老师完成中学英语教学专业文凭课程01

        在“丹斯里杨忠礼潘斯里陈开蓉协助巴生兴华中学英语教学中心师资及学生培训慈善基金”赞助下，我校8位英文老师于2019年参与Certificate in English Language Teaching – Secondary（CELT-S）专业培训。今年2月，老师们完成了所有培训活动，并全数获得认证。自2010年起，我校英语语教学中心老师便开始接受英语教学专业培育课程。经过多年的耕耘，英语中心除了2020年新到任老师之外，所有老师都顺利获得了英语文教学专业文凭的认证。

        The course was months of hard work and I am glad that I went through it! Overall, CELT-S gave me a lot of hands-on training about teaching. I have learnt a lot about managing classroom activities effectively such as setting up activities, monitoring and giving feedback. Besides, I have learnt about how I can make the best use of all the resources available in my own context to motivate and support my students. It has definitely made me a better teacher and I truly appreciate the opportunity given to attend this course.

        First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Hin Hua High School for giving us the opportunity to pursue this CELT-S course in 2019. It was certainly a great exposure for me as I could learn more teaching knowledge and skills throughout the course. Working as a full-time teacher and at the same time, pursuing this one-year CELT-S course was definitely not easy for me. There were times in which I struggled between my work and studies. I am lucky to have an experienced trainer and a group of helpful classmates around me. I remember we used to discuss and share our thoughts about the assignments in our office. I am happy that we made it to complete the course and celebrate our success together. With this new achievement, I look forward to serving the school and students better in future.

        At first I thought I was going to face trials and tribulations in CELT-S due to my lack of professional teaching experience. Turns out, I found the course to be helpful, interesting, and rewarding. I have learnt so much from all the support and constructive input throughout the course from our trainer, Ms Jillian. It has been a truly invaluable learning experience for me.

        CELT-S experience was really like a roller coaster as the course comprises assignments, teaching observations and online exercise. Initially, I felt so tired with the work but as time passed on, I realised that I've been constantly learning new strategies and methods to teach in school. The course has definitely taught me a lot from different angles to build my confidence in my teaching career. I'm grateful to the school for this opportunity. Thank you.
