在巴生中华任教12年，2004年辞掉老师一职，想当上“家庭主妇”，没想到郑瑞玉校长的一通电话，就与兴华结缘，一结就结上10年之缘。
有人遇上我，都羡慕我在名校教书，应该很好教吧！
我会回答说：“不管到哪一间学校，只要是‘人’，学生也是‘人’，大家都有惰性、有耐性、有恶性、有善性......，每一位学生都是一样的，一切可要看学生的领悟力。”

在教育界任教22年，路还要继续往前走，只有耐力、健康才能坚持下去，希望老师们健健康康，同学们顺顺利利，一切会更好！

Through the years the school has gone through transformations in many aspects especially at the English Language Centre and for me I feel these have given me a great platform to progress. It has allowed me to develop in the direction of today’s needs. Well I guess when we start loving our job everything else falls into place.
From the bottom of my heart I would like to take this opportunity to thank our respected Chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Yeoh Tiong Lay and the patron of ELC Puan Seri Kai Yeong Yeoh for their constant support and motivation. I look forward to many more exciting years in this school.
Dear directors, my beloved principal ,vice principals, my caring colleagues and dearest students, it feels great to receive the long service award this year from my employer HHHS. Being here for ten years is indeed a milestone. I honestly would like to thank all my supportive colleagues and friends at HHHS who have made my life interesting and enjoyable each and every day.
Professionally and personally I feel I have matured a lot in the last ten years and HHHS has certainly contributed to the growth in my career. When I say HHHS it goes without saying it is the people who make the organization. I love my job; I love my students and definitely my friends here who have never once stopped supporting and encouraging me at all time.

I am greatly humbled and honored to be receiving this award. I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to our honorable Chairman, Tan Sri Dato Seri Dr Yeoh Tiong Lay, The Patron of English Language Centre, Puan Sri Datin Seri Kai Yong Yeoh, members of the board, our dearest Principal, Madam Ng Swee Geok, Vice Principals and my fellow colleagues for this honor.
In these fifteen years, I did not make the journey at Hin Hua High School alone. Numerous people have supported me along the way. I am privileged to be able to work with an amazing team of teachers at ELC and not forgetting all the other senior teachers who had retired. Their guidance, encouragement, and mentoring have helped make me the person I am today. I am eternally grateful for their support.
In conclusion, I want to again say how grateful I am to receive this award. I am even more grateful for the opportunity to be a teacher at Hin Hua High School. I consider it an honor to be able to help my students critically think about the world they live in. I consider it a privilege to help a student in his or her educational journey just by being a teacher. Thank you Hin Hua High School for giving me this opportunity!

我的工作性质是後勤支援行政 ，确保行政运作顺畅 ，但工作的满足感是看到学生们在学校里长大成才，在这岗位上不知不觉的渡过了15个年头，感谢老师们和同事们对我的包容和支持。
在未来的日子中，我仍然会继续站稳这工作岗位，并尽心尽力的完成我的职责。

人生短短几十年能在教育的岗位坚持二十年并不是一件容易之事。今天我要感谢我的爸爸、兄弟姐妹、老师们，同事们以及学生们；一路走来因为有你们的陪伴，有你们的扶持及鼓励才会造就今天的我，才能让我有机会在教育界展现光芒。
所谓“十年树木，百年树人”；相信生命原善的能量就如相信一颗种子的潜质会在岁月的呼吸中长成一棵大树！在此呼吁所有老师们能坚持到底为传承华文教育而努力。

1982年，我是本校初一新生。
1994年，我是本校新任教师。
诚此承载33年情谊。
我说，当我是学生时，

In the blink of an eye , I have already been here for a quarter of a century. In my life, I have made many decisions, some good, others not so. However, joining Hin Hua High School and staying on has been one of the wisest decisions I have made. From someone who was completely ignorant about Chinese Independent schools, now I have realized the importance of Chinese education and am more willing to serve in such an institution.
Throughout my teaching career, I have made many mistake, but here in Hin Hua, opportunities for personal and professional development are never lacking. Also, I am thankful for the high level of camaraderie among my colleagues in ELC. Last but not least, I am always surrounded by young, exuberant people who make me feel young at heart .
