Since I'm a new student here, this was my first experience participating in the reading club. Frankly, at first I was not really interested, but after some time I found it getting more and more interesting. I didn't read the book but I found the story interesting after listening to other students’ talking about it. All I could say is that the ELC Reading club is really fun and I am looking forward to the next one!

The reading session that they had was good. The presenters did an amazing job as they didn’t expose that much about the book. Instead, they just gave us, the audience, a simple synopsis and overall plot summary. I like how they left some of the parts for the audience to find out for themselves. That is not an easy task, I must say. The presenters were excellent and so was the main teacher Miss Shyne, who is in charge of the reading club. I would totally recommend everyone to join ELC Reading Club.

I rarely read English books unless they are interesting. Roald Dahl is a talented writer, and I thoroughly enjoy his novels. Initially, the reading club didn't capture my interest, but with the encouragement of Ms. Wendy, I decided to join. During the activities, numerous students actively participated and shared their ideas about the book. It was enjoyable to see everyone engaging in discussions about the same book. Sharing knowledge and experiences with others brings me great pleasure.

I am really glad that I have attended this reading club, the hosts conducted the session in an interesting and fun way. To be honest, I am a person who barely reads English story books and this is the first time I joined an English reading club. My English is not that good and it is difficult for me to finish an English book because there are a lot of words I don’t understand. So “James and the Giant Peach” is the first English story book that I can finish reading after entering high school. This is also my first time expressing myself in English outside the English classroom. Though I only typed down what I wanted to express in the chat box. I’m happy that I could challenge myself. I am grateful that my teacher encouraged me to join this reading club. I hope that ELC can recommend this type of English book to motivate me to read more and at the same time improve my poor English.
