校长、各位长辈、各位老师、各位同学，大家下午好。在我的印象里，董事长是一位和蔼可亲的长辈。记得有几次我参与学长团的服务，我和几位伙伴有幸可以接待董事长。在为董事长斟茶的时候，董事长不仅会和我们亲切的打招呼，还会关心我们学习上的近况和成果。那时候的我总是受宠若惊，心里想着，原来董事长是那么的平易近人。
我也是一名宿舍生，在董事长逝世的消息传来的时候，我和室友正在为即将来临的统考做准备。那时候，我们都很震惊，也觉得很遗憾。我想很多同学都和我一样，希望在毕业典礼上，听董事长讲话，希望在毕业典礼后，我们可以和董事长拍张合照，留下纪念。但是，我们再也没有这个机会了。
董事长是位很有威严的长辈。在兴华醒狮三十周年的庆功宴上，董事长健步如飞。他走在桌子之间，嘻嘻哈哈的狮队队员注意到董事长之后，纷纷行礼问好。那个场面，庄严得我永远都不会忘记。
或许最让我感动的，是在今年年初的始业式上董事长的一番话。董事长在提起我们的学长姐考取的优越成绩时，字字句句都透露出他为我们感到骄傲的喜悦。看着他那么开心，不知不觉中，我们也把董事长对我们的这份期许当作学习的动力。
董事长，谢谢您这些年来对兴华的付出。没有您，或许现在我们依然还在翘首期待着科技大楼的建成。今天，我们失去了一位和蔼可亲的大家长。但是您对我们的期待、您对我们的用心、您的精神，我们会永远收在心里，我们会一直把您当成学习的榜样。我们期许自己在未来的某一天可以像您一样成功，并且把您的精神传承下去。
A very good afternoon to our distinguished guests, the school principal, vice principals, teachers, staff and fellow students.
Our late chairman was indeed an affable man. On several occasions when my friends and I were involved in ushering our late Tan Sri, he would not only greet us warmly, but also express his concern about our progress in our studies. I was deeply touched by how approachable and amiable he was to all of us.
We were preparing for the Senior UEC exams when we received the shocking news and were gravely shaken by his demise. My peers and I had been looking forward to having Tan Sri at our graduation ceremony to bestow his blessings and words of encouragement to us, and perhaps have a photo session together, but now this will only remain as a longing.
Tan Sri was a highly dignified individual. During the school’s 30th Lion Dance Troupe Appreciation Dinner, he was making his rounds when our troupe members noticed him approaching. Immediately we greeted him with a bow. That image will always remain in my mind and in my heart.
What moved me the most is the speech made by Tan Sri during our school opening ceremony this year. He spoke highly of our seniors and took pride in their excellent academic performance. His words of wisdom and encouragement have actually motivated us to strive to our fullest potential.
Dear Tan Sri, thank you for your invaluable contribution to Hin Hua High School all these years. Without you, we would still be envisioning the construction of the Science and Technology Tower. Although you are no longer with us, your expectations, hopes and love towards us will be forever instilled in our hearts. You will always be our role model, and we hope that we will become someone like you some day. We will do our best to ensure that your spirit lives on.
