This video competition was organized by Sunway University earlier this year and was themed “Not Quite Right”. According to the organisers, the purpose of this competition is to discover young talents (15 - 18 years old) in filmmaking and performing arts. Students were required to develop a story in English, organise a shoot and edit their footage into a video no longer than seven minutes. Four teams from Hin Hua High School participated in this competition as part of one of their English projects, and they were led by Chim Jen Sheng (S2 Adelaide), Fong Xin Qian (S2 Adelaide), Heng Khai Je (S2 Adelaide) and Gan Wei Han (S2 Adelaide). The short film entitled “That’s Not Quite Right” by Fong Xin Qian and his teammates Florence Wee Si Chyi, Lee Si Yu, Tan Xun and Travis Ching Jia Yea, went on to beat all other entries from various schools in Malaysia. As winners of the top prize, Fong and his teammates will receive a cash prize of RM2,500 and a RM24,000 bursary from Sunway University to pursue a Diploma in Performing Arts.
One of the judges, Mr. Imri Nasution, commented on the winning video: “This story gets better along the way. The audience is led through random ideas and topics, but the story eventually presents its prime topic, 'media consumption', and how we should be perceiving/receiving media.”

Travis Ching Jia Yea (S2 Adelaide)
Our cameraman is very skilled and the angle of his shots were very nice. I hope that we will have another chance like this in the future.
Tan Xun (S2 Adelaide)
It was a surprise to me that we actually won and I have to thank my teammates for their hard work.
